The Mini MP1584 DC-DC Buck Converter is a compact and high-efficiency step-down voltage regulator designed for reliable voltage conversion in electronic applications. It uses the MP1584EN high-frequency switching regulator with an integrated high-voltage power MOSFET to deliver stable and adjustable output voltage from 0.8V to 20V.

With an input voltage range of 4.5V to 28V, this ultra-small module is suitable for a wide range of projects where space and weight are critical. It provides up to 3A output current and achieves conversion efficiency of up to 96%, depending on operating conditions.

The module includes built-in protection features such as soft start, thermal shutdown, under-voltage lockout (UVLO), and internally set current limiting to ensure safe and reliable operation. Its high switching frequency (typically 1MHz, up to 1.5MHz) allows the use of small ceramic capacitors while maintaining low output ripple (less than 30mV).

Due to its small size and low power consumption, it is ideal for robotics, Arduino and Raspberry Pi projects, RC cars and aircraft, quadcopters, battery-powered devices, communication equipment, breadboard power supplies, and UBEC applications for 2S–6S LiPo battery packs.
