The 30A Range Current Sensor Module based on the ACS712 is a high-capacity Hall-effect current sensing solution designed to measure both AC and DC currents accurately. It integrates a precise, low-offset linear Hall circuit with a copper conduction path positioned near the surface of the sensor die. When current flows through this copper path, it generates a magnetic field that is detected by the internal Hall IC and converted into a proportional analog voltage output.

This contactless sensing technique provides electrical isolation between the load and the control circuitry, improving operational safety and reducing interference from high-voltage or high-current lines. The module is capable of measuring currents up to ±30A, making it suitable for higher power applications where reliable current monitoring is required.
