ADS1115 16-Bit ADC โ 4 Channel with Programmable Gain Amplifier
The ADS1115 is a high-precision 16-bit analog-to-digital converter designed for microcontroller projects that require accurate analog signal measurement. It provides up to 16-bit resolution at data rates from 8 samples per second up to 860 samples per second, communicating via an I2C interface.
The device can be configured as four single-ended input channels or two differential input channels, making it flexible for a wide range of sensing applications. It includes an internal programmable gain amplifier (PGA) with gains up to ร16, allowing small signals to be amplified and measured accurately within the full-scale range.
The module operates over a wide supply range of 2.0V to 5.5V, making it compatible with most 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi. It features an internal low-drift voltage reference, internal oscillator, and programmable comparator for added functionality.
Designed for low power consumption, the ADS1115 draws only about 150ยตA in continuous mode and automatically shuts down in single-shot mode to conserve power.
The breakout board supports selectable I2C addresses from 0x48 to 0x4B, allowing up to four ADS1115 modules on a single I2C bus for a total of 16 single-ended inputs. Interfacing requires only VDD, GND, SDA, and SCL connections to begin reading high-precision analog data.
This module is ideal for sensor measurement, data acquisition systems, industrial monitoring, battery measurement, and precision instrumentation projects.
